For our Prague office, ZOOM is looking for a candidate to fill the position of:
Senior User Experience Designer
ZOOM is extensively growing and expanding through the world and needs to stay on the edge with its product portfolio. We are looking for a new colleague to join our team and take over the leadership of User Experience design for the entire product portfolio.
About the Position
The Senior User Experience Designer will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the entire GUI of ZOOM’s applications as well as being the main person in charge of the User Experience for working with the products.
You will be responsible for the entire design process – from gathering user data, to high level interaction design, to specification of pixel level details, as well as communication of the design to the engineering team and their support during implementation.
The position is located at our headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic.
In this role you are expected to:
- Take responsibility of the products GUI in terms of long-term strategy as well as daily decisions about individual improvements and issues
- Evangelize and introduce user experience field to the company
- Closely participate in the product definition as well as in implementation process
- Be regularly in touch with ZOOM sales & pre-sales people to get feedback from the field
- Meet with customers often to hear their feedback on existing products and response on our roadmap

About the Candidate
ZOOM expects the candidate to have the following qualifications:
- Strong interaction design skills – mainly for web-based applications
- Experience with user research methods (interviews, usability testing etc.)
- Strong communication skills (negotiation, presentation etc.)
- Ability to sometimes travel to attend events around the world
- Absolutely fluent in English, Czech is a big plus
- Located or willing to relocate to company’s HQ in Prague, Czech Republic
We will appreciate
- Basic knowledge of Java, SQL and CSS
- Understanding of agile development methods – expect daily iterations of GUI development to get immediate feedback from the rest of the team
