Integration

Service providers that offer hosted–PBX, business trunking or other services based on the hosted BroadSoft BroadWorks platform deploy ZOOM CallREC at their customer's location. The main reason for this choice of deployment is security. Recorded calls are considered as sensitive data and most customers are not prepared to outsource this data to a service provider's „cloud". To enable this configuration, Ethernet switches are configured at the customer's location with SPAN/RSPAN ports. ZOOM CallREC observes the SPAN port and uses the SIP signaling to obtain all call information. Voice conversations are recorded from the same SPAN port(s).
